A fixed (dedicated) IP address for your hosting package
With a hosting package, you share an IP address with other websites on the same server by default. If you want your own IP address, you can add it as an option.
- In My WebOké, go to My Products and open your hosting package.
- On the Configurable options card, choose the option for your own IPv4 address and click Save options.
- You'll first see what it costs for the rest of your period. Confirm and pay; after payment, your package will get the IP address.
After that, the product page will show the Own IP addresses card with your IP address. You can also cancel it there if you no longer need it.
Resellers: with a reseller account, the IP address is added to your list of available IP addresses, and you choose which user to assign it to.
Please note: if your package gets its own IP address, the DNS of your domains will change. Anyone who just visited your site may still end up on the old address for a short while (usually no more than an hour). If your DNS is hosted with another provider, you'll need to update the A records there yourself.
